Position Overview
We are looking for a Business Development & Partnerships Manager to join our team, focusing on establishing, nurturing, and expanding partnerships across key sectors relevant to outdoor and travel industries. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, this role will be crucial in building strategic alliances, driving revenue growth, and fostering long-lasting relationships that support RoverPass' mission to revolutionize the outdoor accommodation sector.
This role requires a highly relational, strategic, and results-driven professional with a passion for the outdoor and travel industry, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage partnerships. The ideal candidate will be based in Mexico, with the ability to travel regularly to the U.S. for conferences and partner meetings, and must be fluent in English.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Development: Identify, initiate, and manage partnerships within the outdoor and travel sectors, with a focus on securing referrals and mutually beneficial collaborations with related companies.
- Market Expansion: Pursue new opportunities that align with RoverPass' brand, driving partnerships that enhance our presence in both established and emerging markets.
- Networking & Relationship Building: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build and maintain relationships that enhance RoverPass’ visibility and credibility.
- Referral Programs: Develop and implement strategies to create referral opportunities, establishing a strong network of partners who can introduce new business leads.
- Account Management: Act as a dedicated contact for partners, ensuring they are fully supported and that joint initiatives are aligned with RoverPass’ objectives and standards.
- Revenue Generation: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create exclusive offers, bundles, and packages that drive revenue through partnerships.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the success of partnerships, measuring performance metrics, ROI, and client satisfaction to optimize strategies and improve outcomes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal teams, including Marketing, Customer Support, and Operations, to ensure consistent messaging and smooth execution of partnership activities.
Requirements
- Experience: 5-7 years in business development or partnership management, preferably within the travel, outdoor accommodation, or tech sectors.
- Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to engage others, cultivate relationships, and build trust with partners.
- Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of negotiating and closing deals that align with company objectives and generate tangible value.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the outdoor, travel, and accommodation ecosystem; experience with RV parks, campgrounds, or glamping is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Native-level English proficiency, both spoken and written. Must be a confident speaker who enjoys meeting new people and representing the brand at events.
- Project Management: Excellent organizational skills, with experience managing multiple projects and partnerships simultaneously.
- Flexibility for Travel: Based in Mexico with the ability to travel to the U.S. for conferences, partner meetings, and industry events as needed.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and comfortable using digital collaboration tools to manage partnership processes and reporting.
